It will be the Honorary Committee of the Driving Energy Award 2023 – Contemporary photography to assign the new Academy Mention, scheduled for this year by Terna among the prizes of the second edition of the free competition open to all photographers in Italy, aimed at promoting the cultural development of the country and new talents in the sector. There is time until June 30th to enroll to the new edition.

The photographic works submitted by the young students enrolled in the higher education realities of the sector will be evaluated by the members of the Honor Committee, composed of the winners of the Driving Energy Award 2022: Paul Ventura (Senior Award 2022), Gaia Renis (Youth Award 2022), Mohamed Keita (Special Mention 2022 'Contemporary Normality'), Eva Frapiccinic (Special Mention 2022 'Circularity. Courses and appeals'), e Andrea Botto (Mention 2022 Work most voted by Terna people).

The Honor Committee will work in coordination with the Curator, the Jury and the President's Committee, making available to the students a technical gaze, that of the artist, evaluating the photographic works from a different point of view and sensitivity.

The news of the 2023 edition of the Terna Driving Energy Award

Compared to the last edition, the Award, curated by Marco Delogu, stands out this year for greater participation opportunities for young people and, in general, non-professionals. In addition to Mention Academy, worth 2.000 euros, the new one is also expected Amateur Award, worth 5.000 euros, open to those who do not fall into the categories of "authors" (photographers who carry out research recognized by publications and exhibitions) and "professionals" (photographers who practice in the most diverse fields, for example directors of photography and video makers who carry out activities in the fields of advertising, fashion, entertainment, and so on). The finalist photographic works will be exhibited in an exhibition open free of charge to the public, set up at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, which will be inaugurated with the proclamation of the five winners. They will also be published in the fourth edition of the photographic book Driving Energy, which is available as the official catalog of the Award.
