Important recognition for Terna. The company led by Stefano Donnarumma is the only company in Italy to have obtained the ISO certification (International Standards Organization) 37301:2021 by Accredia, the single national accreditation body, extended to all the relevant "compliance obligations" of the main group companies (Terna Rete Italia, Terna Energy Solutions and Terna Plus).
What is ISO Certification?
"The certification, issued by IMQ, the Italian Quality Mark Institute, at the end of the evaluation process, recognizes the ability of the national electricity grid manager to guarantee not only processes compliant with national and European regulations, but also an important opportunity of growth of compliance culture within the Group”, explains Terna in a note.
The ISO 37301:2021 standard, in fact, represents an international standard that specifies the requirements and provides the guidelines for developing, maintaining and improving the compliance management system. The adoption of this model also contributes to the achievement of three sustainable development objectives: "decent work and economic growth", "peace, justice and strong institutions" and "sustainable cities and communities".

“The important certification that IMQ has issued to Terna once again confirms the group's commitment to operate in compliance with the indications that come from Europe. This important milestone also underlines the company's ability to be faithful to the principles of good governance, transparency and sustainability,” he said Joseph DelVillanoTerna's Corporate Affairs director.
In order to ascertain the compliance of Terna's Compliance Management System with the required standard, the IMQ Certification Body randomly checked around 40 organizational structures and interviewed over 60 people in the group, for a total of around 200 hours of activity.
