Terna in the FTSE4Good sustainability indices for 16 years

Terna conquers, once again, a leading position in the Ftse4Good indices. For the 16th consecutive year, the group confirms itself among the companies most attentive to sustainability issues. 

FTSE4Good Europe Index includes European companies that stand out for their transparent management and application of sustainable criteria. This assessment is conducted twice a year, in March and September, to include new companies or exclude those that have not maintained the required sustainability standards. More than 2 indicators have been taken into consideration, relating to various topics, including the climate change, Corporate Governance and respect for human rights.

The announcement was made by the company in a note, in which it writes how this result "further consolidates Terna's strategy aimed at combining sustainability and growth". Furthermore, the confirmation for the 16th consecutive year strengthens the group's leadership in the field of sustainable finance, proven by the constant growth of socially responsible investors (Sri) in the company's stock, which currently represent the11,8% of the free float (up compared to 9,5% in 2018 and 8,3% in 2017).

Finally, the group recalls that "for 2 consecutive years Industry Leader of the Electric Utilities sector in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, it is included in all the most important sustainability indices including Bloomberg-dei, Ecpsi, Sei-Ethibel, Euronext Vigeo, Msci , Stoxx Esg, Stoxx Low Carbon and Gc100 (United Nations Global Compact)”.
