Terna launches "Worksites open & transparent" online

Terna launches a web space (open to all and accessible from the website www.terna.it) completely dedicated to construction sites, where all the information on contracts, tenders and subcontracts of the work in progress for the construction of electricity infrastructures in Italy will be published and updated. "Worksites open & transparent", this is the name that the group chaired by Catia Bastioli and led by Matteo Del Fante wanted to give to the initiative.

Thanks to this new tool, anyone will be able to check the details of all the construction sites of Terna's works in progress at any time: this means 750 companies activated and 4 thousand people involved every day in the over 200 sites open throughout Italy, for an investment today field which overall is worth about 2,8 billion euros.

The new web space it will also allow citizens, as well as businesses, to enter "Terna's home" to concretely check the progress of the works on large infrastructures, the number of companies that have participated in the tender and the names of the contractors to whom the works have been entrusted.

Starting from the single work, from Valle D'Aosta to Sicily, not only the data relating to the construction sites in terms of location and technical-descriptive aspects are available, but also those that define the organization and the companies present, the progress and the economic focus.

In this new web space, particular prominence is given to subcontracts, to request which every company operating on Terna construction sites has an innovative tool at its disposal, the "Subcontract Management" portal, which guarantees the unified and homogeneous management of the authorization phases of the process and compliance with regulatory provisions.

“With this initiative, which in Italy is the first of its kind for a private company – commented Terna's managing director, Matteo Del Fante – we demonstrate once again not only that we work for the development of the electricity grid, but also commit ourselves voluntarily and responsibly to ensure ever greater safety for businesses and the community. We are proud to be able to say that, with this new project, Terna is making another contribution to promoting a cultural transition that leads towards legality and transparency".
