Terna confirmed at the top of global sustainability in the Glio/Gresb Esg Index

Terna confirmed at the top of the sustainability globally. The company led by Stefano Donnarumma was included for the third time in the GLIO/GRESB ESG Index with the rating 'A' (the highest level of assessment on a scale starting from the lowest level 'E'), against a global average of the companies rated which was equal to 'C'. The index references environmental, social and governance (ESG) best practices adopted by publicly traded companies that manage critical infrastructure in the energy, transportation and telecommunications networks.

Glio/Gresb Erg Index: Terna improves its final score

Specifically, this year Terna ha improved way their score from 85 to 91 out of 100 (the global average of the companies evaluated was 64), thus positioning itself in the highest score range of the index which includes only six other international companies.

With this further international recognition, the company confirms its role as director and enabler of the energy transition. Sustainability is a strategic driver and one of the pillars on which Terna's business is based: the approximately 10 billion euros in total investments, which the company has planned in the update of Industrial Plan 2021-2025 'Driving Energy', are considered by their nature 99% sustainable on the basis of the eligibility criterion introduced by the European Taxonomy.

Glio/Gresb Esg Index, how the assessment for the index is composed

Il GLIO/GRESB ESG Index, launched in January 2021, has a particular influence on the so-called SRI (Socially Responsible Investors), investors sensitive to ethical issues. L'assessment for this index si composes of different levels of analysis and evaluates transparency in the dissemination of data relating to the following ESG areas: sustainability governance, sustainability implementation, operational performance data and stakeholder engagement practices.
