Terna buys assets in the Verona area for over 10 million

Terna makes purchases in the Verona area. Meganets spa – a company of the Agsm Aim group which deals with the management of the gas and electricity distribution and metering service in Verona – signed with Terna two contracts for the cession of its plants included in the national transmission grid. The contracts have a total value of 10,5 million euros, of which 8,5 pertaining to Megareti and 280 thousand to Agsm Lighting.

In particular, the agreement concerns 122 km of high voltage power lines owned by Megareti spa (of which two high voltage lines in co-ownership with Dolomiti Energia) included in the national transmission network and 2 stations of Agsm Verona: "South receivers" and "West receivers".

Under the agreement, Megareti continues to carry out operation and maintenance on the electricity stations sold for at least another three years.

The proceeds from the transaction will be used to increase the 136 million euro investment plan envisaged for the period 2021-2025, which is part of the strategy of the group led by Stefano Donnarumma to unify the national transmission infrastructure, consolidating portions of the high voltage grid owned by local utilities. With the aim of increasing the efficiency and reliability of the network both in terms of reduction of interruptions and in the speed of execution times with new infrastructure, renewal of impianti and the use of modern technologies.
