In October, Italian electricity consumption fell. According to data published this morning by Terna, last month the electricity demand in Italy (26,4 billion kWh), recorded a decrease of 1,4% on an annual basis.
Of the 26,4 billion kWh required in October 2014, 46,1% is distributed in the North, 30,8% in the Center and 23,1% in the South. At a territorial level, the demand for energy electricity in October 2014 was down everywhere: -2,2% in the North, -1,0% in the Center and -0,1% in the South.
In quarterly terms, the seasonally adjusted change in electricity demand in October 2014 compared to the previous month was -0,3%. The trend profile remains on a stationary trend.
In the first ten months of 2014, the demand for electricity decreased by 2,9% compared to the values of the corresponding period of 2013; with the same calendar, the value is -2,7%.
