The missile crisis, perhaps, was a false alarm. Or rather, a show of muscle. Israel has announced that those sighted in the Mediterranean by Russia are its property: "They are ours - said the Defense Ministry in Tel Aviv - it is a missile test conducted together with the United States".
The Armavir station in southern Russia recorded the launch of the missiles. The defense minister immediately informed President Vladimir Putin, while Moscow's embassy in Syria said there were no signs of an attack in the Damascus area.
The missiles in the Mediterranean could be just a test, even if – to hear Benyamin Netanyahu's words – they seem to have the appearance of a warning: "The reality around us is changing - declared the Israeli prime minister - I want to tell anyone who intends to of evil: it is not advisable”.
Meanwhile, US warships are already in place, awaiting a possible attack in the wake of allegations that the Assad regime has used chemical weapons. US President Barack Obama is awaiting a green light from Congress, which should arrive after September 9.
The number of Syrian refugees now exceeds 2 million. This was announced in a statement by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, which recalls that a year ago their number was 230.671 people. In one year, the number of asylum seekers in countries bordering Syria increased by 1,8 million.
