Tennis, Errani-Vinci in history: I also win the Australian Open. It is the third doubles slam

Third Grand Slam for the blue doubles duo, the strongest ever: after the US Open and Roland Garros (and a final lost in Australia) in 2012, Roberta Vinci and Sara Errani won the Grand Slam for the first time start of the season.

Tennis, Errani-Vinci in history: I also win the Australian Open. It is the third doubles slam

After the final in Melbourne a year ago and the titles at Roland Garros and at Flushing Meadows (US Open), fourth final and third title in the last five Grand Slam tournaments for Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci. The 2013 blue therefore starts immediately with a bang: title at the Australian Open for the "Cichis", who beat the Australian couple formed by the very young Ashleigh Barty (16 years old) and Casey DellAcqua.

Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci prevailed in three sets: 6-2 3-6 6-2 after one hour and 42 minutes. It seemed like a match without history with the blues ahead by a set and a break. Then the reaction of the two Australians who slipped in a run of 6 games to one (6-3 1-0). At that point the blue couple came out again: two consecutive breaks in the sixth game and in the eighth game and 6-2 in the final. A beautiful revenge in the prestigious setting of the Rod Laver Arena, the same stadium where a year ago Sara and Roberta surrendered to Svetlana Kuznetsova and Vera Zvonareva in the final.
