Women's time, in 2018 do we still need a prince charming?

“Are we still counting on Prince Charming (and his wallet)? Because even as adults women believe in fairy tales” is the title of the event scheduled today at the Triennale Lab curated by Rita Querzè with the participation of Claudia Segre, president of the Global Thinking Foundation, the final speech by Lella Costa, actress and writer and the presence of the awaited Prince Charming, we will talk about economic independence, gender differences and the pursuit of happiness.

Women's time, in 2018 do we still need a prince charming?

Since we were little girls we have been used to believing that the solution to all the ills of life, to poverty, to stolen childhood, to adolescence away from the family, was found in the arrival of a wonderful man on horseback ready to fight evil witches, wicked stepsisters and diabolical monsters to announce to the whole world the love for his princess. Above all, we have been used to thinking that without obstacles a love story could not even be considered as such and that "they lived happily ever after" was reached only at the end of the race, instead of thinking that happy endings were every day.

Economic independence remains a goal to be achieved: in Italy only one woman out of two has a paid job which is still paid 18% less than that of men. But should happiness, economic stability and independence be patiently waited for (in the hope that sooner or later someone will bring it to you on a silver tray) or should you move and run to get them?

The debate organized by the Global Thinking Foundation on Friday 7 September 2018 at the Triennale Lab in Milan will start from these questions. The event “Are we still counting on Prince Charming (and his wallet)? Because even as adults women believe in fairy tales” is curated by Rita Querzè and will see the participation of Claudia Segre, president of the Global Thinking Foundation, the final speech by Lella Costa, actress and writer and the presence of the awaited Prince Charming, who to the Women's Time tells her point of view on the economic independence of women in couple relationships.
