A service of telemedicine for the well-being of companies and employees. This is the objective of the agreement that Enel X Italia and the Agostino Gemelli University Hospital Foundation IRCCS have signed with Aon, a British company active worldwide in risk and human resources consultancy, insurance and reinsurance intermediation.
Specifically, the English company will be able to make the service available to its network of companies Smart Assistance and Well, a corporate wellness governance program developed by the global business line of the Enel Group and the Gemelli Polyclinic Foundation with the aim of offering personalized and digital health care pathways, integrated with the traditional medical check-up.
The aim of the service is "to disseminate a new welfare model based on the psychophysical well-being of the person and to encourage the development of telemedicine, which is essential for making healthcare available to everyone", he underlined Francesco Venturini, Head of Enel X.
Telemedicine for companies: what is Smart Assistance e-Well
Smart Axistance e-Well provides a personalized wellness journey that takes place with the remote support of the doctors of the Gemelli Polyclinic and through an app, designed by Enel X.
The program lasts at least one year and opens for participants with a classic complete medical check-up carried out in the presence of the Roman Polyclinic or other affiliated health facilities throughout the country. The initial state of well-being is assessed on the basis of a scientifically recognized clinical protocol specially developed by Gemelli, based on 5 reference areas: stress, physical activity, diet, sleep and smoking.
Based on the results of the checkup, the Gemelli doctors agree a personalized wellness plan with the members, including a diet, and can check with them, over the months, the progress made using the app and the combined smartband and carrying out periodic televisits on the Smart Assistance e-Well platform.
Furthermore, companies have the option of adding additional face-to-face visits to this basic wellness package. Furthermore, during the journey people also have the possibility of booking additional specialist television visits to meet specific needs.
Telemedicine is no longer a mere exercise linked to the provision of services, but a tool "that expands, enhances and integrates our entire health offer", he reiterated Marco Elefanti, general director of the Gemelli Polyclinic Foundation.
