Telecom: go to the fixed and mobile ultra-band

Telecom Italia sets the next goal: fixed and mobile ultra-band is an absolute priority, as explained by the managing director of the telecommunications company, Marco Patuano: “It is important to start activating so that there is a fixed and mobile ultra-band. A project that plans to increase diffusion in the Italian population in a few years is worthy”.

The CEO thus spoke on the sidelines of a conference in Rome. “Ours – added Patuano, responding to the criticisms made by other operators in the TLC sector of Telecom's project in the broadband sector – is an open infrastructure. Ultra-broadband networks have to follow demand and right now demand in Italy continues to suffer compared to other European countries".

Patuano's statements come on the very day that Telecom announced the testing of the fourth generation of mobile network, the LTE (Long term evolution). Tomorrow in Turin a public one will be launched: at the Tm sales point in via Lagrange 20 in Turin, until 22 February it will set up workstations to test the 100 Megabit LTE keys, to make HD video streaming, video on demand, surf the internet. The news will soon arrive in other cities as well.
