Telecom: profit +17,4% in Brazil, dividend +39,4%

At the end of the Board meeting for the approval of the accounts, the managing director Andrea Mangoni resigned.

Telecom: profit +17,4% in Brazil, dividend +39,4%

Tim Participacoes ended 2012 with good results: Net income up 17,4%, to 1,5 billion reais, e revenues up 10%, to 18.764 million. The Board of Directors of the Brazilian subsidiary of Telecom Italia will propose to the April shareholders' meeting a dividend payout of 743 million (0,3073 reais for ordinary shares and 1,5366 for savings shares), an increase of 39,4% compared to 2011. 

In December Tim reached 70,3 million customers e for 2013 the company is "sure that it has all the conditions to keep business growth focused and sustainable". 

At the end of the BoD for the approval of the accounts, the managing director Andrea Mangoni has resigned. The manager will leave office on March 4 because he "considers accomplished the mission that was assigned to lead the transition in the management of the company".

At the opening today in Piazza Affari, Telecom Italia shares are down 0,4%.
