Telecom: increase to 3000 redundancies in call centers to avoid spin-offs

Almost a doubling of the redundancies: from 1.700 to 3000. If the unions accepted, Telecom would be ready to back down on the spin off of the call centres. All to be managed with shock absorbers such as solidarity. It is the proposal that the company, according to Radiocor reports, presented to the unions during informal meetings and that tomorrow it will bring to the table convened at the Ministry of Economic Development.

In essence, the company, by choosing to keep the call centers within the corporate perimeter, as required by the acronyms, would raise the numbers of redundancies from the announced 1.700 to 3.000, ie adding 1.300 workers out of the approximately 10 employed in the call centres. In fact, for the company, the withdrawal of the spin-off project passes through the recovery of the additional costs that the division represents for the group compared to the market average. With the bowls still, ie without the intervention of the Government, defensive solidarity is no longer available for Telecom which has used up the currently possible cycles with the one concluded in April. Fistel Cisl, Uilcom Uil and Ugl are ready to confront Telecom's proposal, while the CGIL is against it.
