Telecom, Mps and Saipem push the Stock Exchange

Positive stock exchanges in the middle of the day – Mps flies on rumors of an intervention by Bps Paribas, which it had already denied – Telecom sales in the wake of Vodafone's accounts and rumors about an offer for Tim Brasil's towers – Saipem does well too: yes speaks of a plan by Eni that would involve a group of banks – During the day the numbers of Enel, Unicredit and Intesa.

Avanza Business Square (+0,41%), with the Ftse Mib index at 19.337 on the wave of some rumors.

Vola Mount Paschi (+3,7%) on the eve of the quarterly: Breaking Views raised the possibility of an intervention by Bps Paribas, denied a week ago by the French Bank. 

Saipem marks an increase of 2,3%, despite the decline in crude oil. The increase is linked to the plans of the parent company Eni (-0,5%): a group of banks would be willing to take over the intercompany loans. In addition, there is the prospect that the company will be awarded the task of removing and resting the pipeline system of the Kashagan oil field, a contract worth $ 1,5 billion.

Finally, move forward Telecom Italy (+3,6%) on a day of great effervescence for the sector: the Stoxx index of European telephony companies is up by 2,3%. Vodafone English climbs 5% after releasing data for the quarter. The rumors about an offer for Tim Brasil's towers are also good for the title. 

Closed Paris for holidays, they advance Frankfurt (+0,23%) and Madrid (+1,10%). The bond market in the US stopped today.

Yves Mersch, a Belgian member of the ECB directorate, spoke out this morning in favor of European QE: "It would be irresponsible not to consider all the options".
