Telecom Italia: Vivendi climbs back to 23,15%

Vivendi goes back to Telecom Italia. The French group announced that it had purchased almost 1,5% of the Italian company on the stock exchange, bringing its stake back to 23,15%. Previously, the giant chaired by Vincent Bolloré had fallen from 24,68% to 21,91%, due to the dilution that took place in mid-November for the conversion of the 1,3 billion bond into shares.

Now, also taking advantage of the share's weakness, Vivendi has chosen to launch a new sign of confidence in the company led by Flavio Cattaneo, which in the third quarter of 2016 announced the best numbers of the last 10 years.

At this point it is not excluded that the French could rake in new shares of Telecom Italia and thus return just below the takeover bid threshold (25%).
