Telecom Italia, Vivendi is asking for 4 directors on the board at the December 15 meeting

In view of Telecom Italia's shareholders' meeting on December 15, Vivendi, the company's main shareholder, has requested the entry of its four members (including CEO Puyfontaine) into the board of directors, freeing them from competition bans - Telecom's board of directors will give an answer in the next days

Vivendi wants to join Telecom Italia's board of directors immediately. In a letter to the top management of the Italian telephone company, the French shareholder of Telecom asked to supplement the agenda for the next meeting on 15 December by proposing to increase the number of directors from 13 to 17.

Vivendi, a group led by Vincent Bolloré, wants four of its members to enter the Telecom board, including its number one Arnaud Roy de Puyfontaine.

The French shareholder also asks for better remuneration of the directors and for them to be released from the bans on competition.

Telecom's top management has announced that it will meet its board of directors in the next few days to decide on Vivendi's request in view of the shareholders' meeting.
