After the meeting with the Prime Minister at Palazzo Chigi, the CEO of Telecom Italia does not answer questions on the spin-off of the network, the takeover bid law and Golden power.

Telecom Italia, Patuano: "I spoke to Letta about investments and employment"

"It was a very cordial meeting: we analyzed the situation of Telecom Italia at 360 degrees, talking about how we see the future in terms of investments and employment". This was stated by Marco Patuano, managing director of the telecommunications group, after meeting Prime Minister Enrico Letta this morning at Palazzo Chigi.

"We received a very attentive discussion - added Patuano -, now the Government must carry out its evaluations and take the appropriate decisions".

As for the hottest topics on the table – namely the unbundling of the network, the changes to the law on the ceiling for the takeover bid and the so-called Golden power – Patuano did not want to reveal the indications he presumably received from the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, in Piazza Affari, the Telecom Italia share is in the red by about half a percentage point. "Visibility is poor on Telecom Italia's strategy", write the UBS analysts, who confirm the "sell" judgment on the stock, with a target price of 0,34 euros. According to the broker, it will be possible to buy Telecom only when the pressure on creditworthiness is averted with a capital increase of seven billion euros.
