Giovanni Stella will leave the presidency of La7 at the end of the year, after having already left the position of CEO of Telecom Italia Media at the end of June, in order to be able to concentrate more on relaunching the television activities in view of the sale of the group.
Despite press sources speaking of a stormy farewell, with Stella forced to throw in the towel by Telecom's pressure on cost cutting, Severino Salvemini, president of TI Media, specifies that Stella will leave his office as president "as a natural closure of a path that will has seen the protagonist of the qualitative relaunch of the television network", and in total agreement with the company, announcing that the Board of Directors scheduled for December 13 "will take the consequent decisions". TI Media will also be the subject of today's Telecom board meeting, in which the offers received for the purchase of the company will be evaluated.
Meanwhile, in the morning, the Telecom Italia Media stock lost 1,61%, at 0,1646 euro per share.
