Telecom Italia establishes the new Operations function and entrusts it to Giuseppe Roberto Opilio, with the aim of guaranteeing the optimal management - from an integrated point of view - of the technological processes and operations.
The Chief Information Office function, simultaneously renamed Information Technology and entrusted to Gianluca Pancaccini, in the role of Chief Information Officer, and the Caring Services division, entrusted to Paolo Tazzioli, are relocated within the Operations function. The Operations function therefore ensures supervision of the following organizational areas: Open Access, Caring Services, Network, Engineering & TILab, Information Technology, Planning & Operations Evolutions, Global Advisory Services and Tower.
Furthermore, with the same effective date, Stefano Ciurli is entrusted with responsibility for the National Wholesale Services function of Telecom Italia, while Alessandro Talotta has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Italia Sparkle SpA to replace Elisabetta Ripa who will assume a new position within the Group Telecom Italy.
