Telecom Italia: up to 7.500 exits, 2.000 hires

Telecom Italia, there are the numbers of the redundancy-hiring plan: a maximum of 7.500 voluntary departures and two thousand hirings in the face of expansive solidarity. According to union sources reported by Radiocor, these are the figures that the company presented to the workers' representatives during the meeting which began at 11 on Thursday morning.

In particular, 4.000 exits pursuant to art. 4 (i.e. former Fornero early retirement) which can be raised to 5.000, for employees who meet the requirements, by 31 December 2018. A further 2.500 at most are envisaged as redundancy incentives, an instrument that will be offered to all personnel. The group also expects 2.000 hires against an expansive solidarity (i.e. a reduction in hours aimed at making room for hiring) of about 20 minutes a day which would involve all employees.

These are numbers that confirm the advances circulated and reported by FIRSTonline in recent days.

With this operation, Tim expects to save up to one billion euros a year. CGIL and UIL oppose the green light for the generational turnover plan by March 6, when Tim will present the general strategic plan.
