Telecom Italia +2% after Tim Partecipacoes quarterly

Telecom Italy on view at Piazza Affari. Shares of the TLC group go up by 2,98% to 0,899 euros, when the Ftse Mib gains 1,94%. Telecom Italia recovers compared to the drop on the eve (-2,78%), together with the whole market, after the publication of the Tim Partecipacoes and while there is talk of a possible marriage between the Brazilian Oi and Tim Brasil (subsidiary of the Italian group).

The Brazilian telephone company reiterated yesterday, with a press release requested by the Stock Exchange Authority, that it had not signed any agreement with the other operators to present a joint offer on Tim Brasil. At the same time, he recalled that he had received a binding offer for Portugal Telecom of 7 billion from the French company Altice. Oi would therefore still have left the door open to a possible integration with Tim Brasil, very quickly.

 During the night, the Brazilian company of the Telecom group communicated that it had closed the third quarter with a net income up 10,6% to 348 million reals, with an Ebitda improvement of 6% to 1,33 billion reals. The Ebitda margin stands at 27,4%. As regards revenues, there was a drop of 4,5% to 4,8 billion.

Meanwhile, the data for the first nine months of Telecom-Argentina need Average you. The Buenos Aires-based company, still controlled by Telecom Italia, increased revenues by 22% to 24,18 billion pesos, and net profit by 14% to 2,6 billion pesos. The net financial position is positive for 3,5 billion. Ti media instead closed the nine months with revenues of 50,6 million (-5,9 million compared to the same period of 2013), with a loss of 7 million and 262,7 million of net debt. The consolidated accounts of Telecom Italia, on the other hand, will be published on Friday.
