Telecom: two new Made in Italy Olivetti tablets from May 28th

From 28 May two new models of the historic Ivrea company will be available on the market – The new Made in Italy tablets are designed for business customers – Olipad 3 has a thickness of 8,4 mm and weighs 570g and has an integrated 8 Megapixels – Both will have access to the Android Market.

Made in Italy also keeps up with the times with regard to the tablet market. Olivetti, the historic company from Ivrea today led by CEO Patricia Grieco and 100% controlled by Telecom Italia, will launch its two latest creations on the market on May 28: Olipad 3 and Olipad Graphos. Both devices were made for meet the needs of business customers, and it is precisely in this market niche that Olivetti aims to confirm itself as the leading player in Italy, by encouraging the digitization of company and public administration processes.

The technologies are in full harmony with the needs of the type of customer: cloud computing applications, access to the Android Market, paper dematerialisation based on Olivetti's graphometric signature (only on the Graphos), and a wide choice of software and services to support the various business needs.

Olipad 3 it has a thickness of 8,4 mm, a weight of about 570 g, a 10-inch LCD multitouch display and an 8 Megapixel camera. It will be the first tablet in Italy that combines the Google Android 4.0 operating system, un quad core processor, the new graphics processor Nvidia Tegra 3 and connectivity 3G mobile broadband (Hspa). All with a 1 Gb ram supplied, able to guarantee speed and management optimization.

The peculiarity of Olipad graphos instead it is a special sensor that allows you to write, with the supplied pen, on the entire surface of the screen and it also allows you to acquire the so-called "biometric" signature (or graphometric) of a customer directly on the document in digital format, with full legal value of this subscription. It is smaller than Olipad 3, with an 8-inch display, and there will also be a wifi-only version. Olipad Graphos will have Android 4.0, an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, a USB host port with a standard connector.
