"The willingness to deal with Cassa depositi e prestiti is there". This was confirmed today by the executive chairman of Telecom Italia, Franco Bernabè, on the sidelines of the eighth edition of "Vedrò", speaking of the negotiation with Cdp to accelerate investment projects for the development of infrastructures.
“We take charge of the problems of the progress of our country's infrastructural system - explained Bernabè - with our investment plan which re-launches fixed ultra-broadband and mobile ultra-broadband and we take charge of it by exploring the possibilities that in the interests of our shareholders and the company can accelerate the development of infrastructures”.
“In this sense – continued the number one of Telecom – we have agreed to examine investment acceleration projects with CDP. We'll see if these things can find a concreteness. On our part there is a sincere willingness to explore the topic and on their part too. It is interesting to note that the Government has included this measure in a series of measures which aim to stimulate entrepreneurship and I think this is effectively Italy's problem. The Government has addressed the problem in its correct dimensions. The problem is that with public spending there is no possibility of restarting within the limits we know, there is a need to reduce the debt”.
Bernabè then added that "the way to restart is to stimulate entrepreneurship and I believe that the program launched on Friday by the Government contains various chapters of this project to relaunch entrepreneurship in Italy which obviously goes in the right direction".
