Speaking at a conference organized by Fiom, Bassanini clarified that “I don't think the network should be republished in the classic sense of the term. Cdp and other co-investors, which we may perhaps find, bring the capital, Metroweb ends up in it together with the pieces of the municipal network that are acquired, contributing to the budgets of local authorities".
Incidentally, Bassanini added that in this situation "it is not important that Telecom maintains the majority" of the newco. Today, during the conference, Fiom asked that the Telecom network become public again.
