Telecom, Antitrust confirms fine of 103 million

The 103,7 million fine imposed by the Antitrust on Telecom Italia for abuse of a dominant position is confirmed. The sixth section of the Council of State has in fact rejected Telecom's appeal against the sentence of the Tar which had already confirmed the sanction in the first instance.

The Antitrust had fined Telecom in May 2013 for abusing its dominant position in the provision of wholesale access services to the network and broadband. The alternative operators Wind, Fastweb, Vodafone Italia, BT Italia and the Italian Internet Provider Association had filed the complaint. The Council of State also ordered Telecom to pay legal costs of 32 euros.
