TEFAF New York, an appointment for collectors of ancient and contemporary art

TEFAF New York Fall returns to the historic Park Avenue Armory, November 1-5, 2019, honoring art from antiquity to the early 90th century. 16 exhibitors, including 2016 participants from TEFAF New York, will take part in the fourth edition of the Fair, which was launched in October XNUMX with great success.

TEFAF New York, an appointment for collectors of ancient and contemporary art

This year's Fair introduced a number of curated collaborations at the booths, each showcasing a dynamic mix of exhibitors, specializing in historical and contemporary works, together in the same space. These collaborative presentations, set in select historic rooms in the Park Avenue Arsenal, will showcase the influence various eras have on one another in the art historical canon. Some of the world's best contemporary and modern art specialists have joined TEFAF New York Fall to collaborate on these unique collaborative presentations, challenging each other to present their material in a way that captures the aesthetic interplay and dialogue between their works.

Bringing together a global community of collectors, interior designers, museum curators and connoisseurs, TEFAF New York is recognized for pushing the boundaries of a traditional art fair at the Park Avenue Armory.

Booth Collaborations sees renowned international dealers specializing in historic and in-development works, across collection, media and millennia categories. Among the collaborations planned for the stand are: Colnaghi (antique paintings) and Ben Brown (contemporary art); Anne Sophie Duval (modern design) and Almine Rech (modern and contemporary art); Rob Smeets (old masters) and Van de Weghe (modern and contemporary art); Cahn (antiquities) and Mayoral Gallery (European paintings, drawings and sculptures); Charles Ede (antiquities and ancient art) and Sean Kelly (contemporary art).
