Tecno joins Elite to support growth

Tecno has announced its entry into Elite, the international program born in Borsa Italiana in 2012 in collaboration with Confindustria and dedicated to the most ambitious companies.

Tecno, an industrial group active in business services for energy saving and environmental sustainability and founded more than 20 years ago by Giovanni Lombardi, will join Elite with a solid business model and a clear growth strategy. The goal is to support a growth path linked to innovation and internationalisation.

Thus, the company enters a Community that includes around 700 companies from 27 countries, 150 Advisors and over 100 investors and which can support companies in their development projects by offering access to an international network, diversified funding sources and a dedicated training, facilitating access to capital in any form, through the use of digital technologies.

In 2016 Tecno had a turnover of 13 million and 500 thousand euros, with an expected growth of 20% for 2017, which will bring it to 17 million. Tecno has over 2500 client companies in all industrial sectors, including Cartiere Burgo, Italcementi, Fincantieri, and Pavimental.

In 2005 Tecno was one of the first Italian companies to obtain the qualification of ESCo - Energy Service Company - accredited by the AEEG (Electricity and Gas Authority), to certify the
energy interventions.

The company, which has its headquarters in Naples on the Riviera di Chiaia in Palazzo Ischitella, and offices in Milan, Bologna, Berlin and Paris.

“We chose to join Elite – explains the founder and president of Tecno, Giovanni Lombardi – because we see it as a useful tool for our strategy, which aims at growth through both internal lines and through acquisitions and internationalisation.

“Tecno's mission – continued Lombardi – is to be a partner of customers in all strategies and actions for sustainability thanks to advanced technological solutions, the result of internal patents, which guarantee
savings on energy consumption and optimization of resources. Our competitive levers are human resources and research: from 110 employees and collaborators we expect by 2018 to arrive
at least 130, of which 70% science graduates with an average age of less than 35 years.

“With this team we accompany customers in the various phases, from the preliminary phase, when the experts evaluate and quantify the savings obtainable without asking for any charge, to the subsequent ones, when
proceeds with the elaboration of the strategy to be adopted for obtaining energy savings.
Our customers choose us aware that our constant investment of over 6% of turnover in research and innovation represents the only guarantee for growth in terms of sustainability and competitiveness".
