Taxi, giving a license to drivers: the Third Pole leads the way, the Government takes action, the Antitrust investigates

Better late than never. After months and months of chaos of the taxi, of indecorous queues at the exit of stations railway of Roma, Milano e Napoli and of the principals airports, of real fugitive white cars, finally something is moving. L'Antitrust announced investigations into the critical issues in the taxi sector and the reasons for the "heavy inefficiencies for users". Given that the endless queues and the painful expectations of users weren't born today but have been going on for months and months, it wouldn't have been a bad thing if the Antitrust had moved earlier, much earlier, but yesterday's announcement is better than nothing. And the same goes for the Government who yesterday let it be known that he is thinking about a double license for taxi drivers: I'll give you one that you can resell by recovering the devaluation of yours or you can entrust it to a relative or friend of yours. Result: more taxis on the road and no disadvantages for the taxi drivers. It's an idea that the Third Pole actually launched last week (Italy alive by Renzi and Action of Calenda, for once incredibly agree). And it's an excellent idea, already successfully tested in Northern European countries and which can finally bring taxi drivers and citizens together. Or so one hopes. As long as we move quickly from promises to deeds, before summer sets.
