Tata Motors, the CEO Karl Slym found dead: it is assumed suicide

Tata Motors shares lose more than 6%, after the alleged suicide of chief executive Karl Slym. The man allegedly leapt from his room on the twenty-second floor of a Bangkok hotel, where he was waiting to attend a meeting with the Thai branch of the company. In these hours the local police would be examining a note apparently left by Slym. The BBC reports it.

The 51-year-old executive was a British citizen and had previously worked for Toyota in the UK and for General Motors in China and India. He has been CEO of Tata Motors, which is part of the Indian giant Tata Group, since October 2012. According to Thai police, it is suicide.
