Btp rates: new record at 2,15%, spread below 140

The wave of purchases of Italian government bonds does not stop. After Friday's lead (2,23%), this morning the interest rate on ten-year BTPs set a new all-time record, dropping all the way at 2,15%, to then rise slightly to 2,18%.

Before the last session last week, the lowest value ever recorded was 2,26%, marked in September.

The fall in yields produced a further decline in the BTP-Bund spread. By mid-morning, the differential between Italian and German ten-year bonds fell below the 140 basis point wall, to 139 basis points, against the 144 basis points at Friday's closing.

Meanwhile, on the stock side, the Milan Stock Exchange is in positive territory by half a percentage point.
