Tasi, deductions should follow those of the old Imu

A few more days are needed to untie the knot of deductions from Tasi, the new property tax in force this year. The government is preparing a proposal that would allow mayors to raise tax rates by allocating the proceeds, or at least a large part of it, to granting a discount on first homes, to be articulated as they please.

The deductions could follow those in force for the old Imu, which were 200 euros for the first home plus 50 for each dependent child, for a maximum of 400 euros, but the Municipalities would have the utmost discretion, being able to decide, for example, to reserve the benefit only for taxpayers with lower. The executive's proposal should be contained in an amendment to the Imu-Bank of Italy decree
