Tasi, Bankitalia: possible increase of 60% in 2014

This year the levy Tasi on the first home could increase by over 60% compared to 2013. This is estimated by the Bank of Italy. This was supported by the Bank of Italy in the annual report published today. 

“Considering a non-luxury main residence, on average for the capital municipalities – reads the text -, the levy decreased by 40% between 2012 and 2013. In the hypothesis of application of the basic rate Tasi, the levy would increase by about 12% (still remaining well below the level recorded in 2012); if each provincial capital applied a rate of 2,5 per thousand, the overall levy would grow by over 60% compared to 2013".

Not only that: Via Nazionale also warns the government about the keeping of public accounts, explaining that in 2015 the Executive will have to find 14,3 billion to achieve the deficit-GDP targets and continue to guarantee the 80 euro tax bonus

“The trend estimates show that, to achieve the planned balance in 2015, it is necessary to find resources for at least 7 billion – write the experts of Palazzo Koch -. The government has also undertaken to make the reduction of the tax wedge introduced for 2014 with the April decree structural; for this purpose, a further 7,3 billion is needed (in addition to the 2,7 already found by the same decree and set aside in a special fund)".

Furthermore, underlines Bankitalia, "some of the major disbursements identified by the Def in the scenario tending to unchanged policies compared to that with current legislation could be considered indispensable".
