Marguerite could finance the external ring road of Milan. It is a fund whose main sponsors are the EIB, the CDP and its French and German counterparts. The hypothesis under study is to intervene to cover the unopted amount of approximately 80 million linked to the 245 million capital increase approved by the company at the end of July and necessary to continue the work.
The recapitalization will be underwritten by private individuals (Impregilo, Pizzarotti, Gavio and Intesa Sanpaolo), but not by Milano Serravalle and ASAM (holding company of the Province of Milan), both in severe financial crisis. Hence the possible intervention of the Marguerite fund, of which various details still remain to be defined at the moment. The goal is to conclude the negotiations by the end of the year. For the Marguerite fund it would be the first investment in Italy.
