Tampons: from salivary to cost, here's what changes in 4 points

The new decree that extends the green pass obligation to public and private workers also contains important tampon news. In fact, we remind you that undergoing a Covid test is one of the three options available to citizens to obtain green certification together with the vaccine and the certificate of recovery from the disease. However, the difference lies in the duration: if after the administration of the vaccine or recovery the green pass lasts a year, with the swab it has a very limited duration ranging from 48 to 72 hours, after which it will be necessary to undergo another test to enter bars, restaurants and gyms etc. or, from October 15, go to the office.

Tampons were and remain a fundamental tool to combat the spread of Covid-19. For this reason it is important to know the rules that have come into force or will come into force in the next weeks. Rules that will not only affect those who have not yet received the vaccine, but also those who have participated in the vaccination campaign and have already had both doses (65% of the population).

TAMPONS: HERE ARE THE NEW PRICES

The decree approved yesterday, Thursday 16 September, by cabinet establishes the obligation for pharmacies to administer antigenic swabs (the rapid ones, to be clear) to controlled prices until December 31, 2021. Simply put, the price of a rapid test drops from 22 to 15 € for adult citizens ea 8 € for minors. But be careful: the reduced prices will only apply to the rapid tests. The cost of molecular swabs will remain unchanged. There gratuity instead, it is intended only for frail people.

The Government's decision represents a kind of compromise. During a meeting with the unions on the green pass, the latter had in fact asked Palazzo Chigi to make tampons free for workers. However, Premier Draghi's response was lapidary: "Inappropriate request" because the choice not to get vaccinated cannot fall on the pockets and wallets of those who have decided to do so instead.

SALIVARY TAMPONS

Until a few days, the rules established by the Government provided that to obtain the temporary green certification it was necessary to undergo a rapid antigen test or a molecular swab. With the conversion into law of the first Green Pass decree, in which the Senate has trusted, a saliva swab can also be done to obtain green certification.

THE DURATION OF THE GREEN PASS

The news, in this case, will officially arrive in the next few days. In fact, the government has given a favorable opinion to an amendment to the decree bis in the Constitutional Affairs Commission in the Chamber for extend the duration of the green pass from 48 to 72 hours for those who undergo a molecular swab and test negative for Covid-19. The duration of the antigenic swabs, on the other hand, remains unchanged at 48 hours. Finally, the validity of the salivary test will be equal to two days.

Simply put, an unvaccinated worker for a working week will need to undergo 3 antigen or saliva tests (spending a total of 45 euros) or two molecular tests.

SWAB TO ENTER THE EMERGENCY

Rules foreseen for access to the emergency room which will concern even the vaccinated or citizens recovered from Covid. In fact, to enter the emergency room it will be necessary to undergo a swab. The exceptions are obviously emergencies which will have to be evaluated by the health personnel.
