Swisscom closed 2012 with a net profit that more than doubled compared to 2011 to 1.762 million Swiss francs (+154%), thanks in particular to the great growth of the Italian subsidiary Fastweb, which closed 2012 with revenues of 1.613 million euros ( +0,5%) while the gross operating margin rose to 500 million euro (+11,1%) and the customer base grew by 10,8%, to 1,77 million.
Swisscom's turnover, according to a note, fell overall to 11.384 million (-0,7%) and the gross operating margin fell to 4.381 million (-4,4%), due to Fastweb's write-downs. The payment of an unchanged ordinary dividend of 22 francs per share will be proposed at the next General Meeting.
