Ania turning point: Aldo Minucci, top manager of Generali, is the new president of the insurers

It is an obvious choice but with a very innovative value that of Aldo Minucci to the presidency of the Ania. The Ania assembly in Milan elected him this morning. Minucci, 65 years old, is the son of Generali, where he is deputy general manager, but above all he enjoys the full trust of the Trieste top management and, also thanks to this important legitimacy, he will be able to give new impetus to the organization of insurers and represent everyone as in the best seasons of the 'Ania.

“We are in a phase of rethinking the role of the representation system and for our part – the new president immediately said – we are convinced that the Associations have a fundamental function in industrial and institutional relations, having in particular to direct the reform processes towards a port consistent with the development of market forces”.

For this reason, according to Minucci, ANIA itself will need to be strengthened both by enhancing its technical expertise and by involving companies more and offering new services. "In the next few years - added Minucci - the insurance sector will have to increase its operational efficiency and demonstrate to the public opinion that it is able to offer quality insurance coverage at reasonable prices to the various sectors of society that will increasingly require it, also due to public finance constraints that will affect the welfare system”.

Improving the image of the insurance company in society and capitalizing on technological innovation are the first tasks of the new ANIA. Minucci, who on behalf of Generali is also vice president of Telecom Italia and president of Telco, will be joined at the top of ANIA by two vice presidents: Carlo Acutis (vice president of Vittoria Assicurazioni) and Maria Bianca Farina (CEO of Poste Vita and Poste Assicura ).
