Switzerland, referendum on the minimum wage: we are moving towards no

Controversy in Switzerland where on May 18 voters are called to express themselves on a minimum wage of 3.300 euros. The initiative, supported by the trade unions and made possible by the collection of 100 signatures in the 26 cantons, provides for a minimum hourly wage of 22 Swiss francs, equal to 18 euros, for everyone. This is the "highest" minimum wage in the world. For the supporters of the "yes" it is a battle with an uncertain outcome. The no front fears risks for employment. According to recent polls, 64% of Swiss citizens will vote no in the referendum.
