Economic activity grows in January in the 34 countries of the OECD area: the super-index calculated by the Paris organization rose to 100,9 points dai December 100,5th. But the data remains 1,6 points lower than the January 2011 figure. However, the suerindex continues to signal a "positive change" in the area's economic trend.
“Possible positive exchange” also for the Eurozone, whose index rose by 0,2 points to 98,7. Good results also for Italy whose index increased by 0,4% to 96,6. The countries driving the economy remain the United States (+0,7 to 102,5) and Japan (+0,5 to 102,6).
The OECD points out that “stronger, if timid, signals are beginning to emerge across all major OECD economies and for the Eurozone as a whole".
