Superbonus: non-stop construction sites. Manufacturers and unions for an extension beyond 2023.

The entire construction world is asking the government for an extension beyond December 31st for condominium construction sites. Jobs and worker safety at risk.

Superbonus: non-stop construction sites. Manufacturers and unions for an extension beyond 2023.

Thousands of Italians have started the work with the Superbonus, in good faith. For this reason it is necessary to find a solution for close all ongoing construction sites. Attention: the deadlines for completing interventions on condominiums expire on December 31st.

We associate solidarity of interests between adversaries with good faith. It is not frequent in Italy that builders, construction unions, artisans and engineers find themselves united, all together, on one of the most contested issues of recent years.

Spending on the Superbonus was a colossal waste of public money, says the government, and in many numbers 120 and 150 billion euros. The rich enjoyed and the poor paid. But it didn't happen that way, say associations, public administrators and thousands of honest citizens (in good faith) who have made homes better. Is the reason somewhere in between?

The center-right in command places the blame on their predecessors for a measure that in reality it never hindered. Ah, the short memory. In May 2020, during the second Conte government, the "Relaunch Decree" with the Superbonus passed by an overwhelming majority. We witnessed many environmentalist, transversal flashes, a modernist impulse. But as Penelope taught, the canvas (modifications and additions) was made and remade. Two months after redde rationem 2023 of Giorgetti-Meloni there is a "regulatory and application chaos of the instrument" says the unitary document.

Extension unit and uncalculated risks

All the acronyms of construction chain (Ance, Confartigianato, Cna Costruzioni, Legacoop, Cgil, Cisl, Uil, etc.) sign a very alarmed text. The work will not be finished in December.

Okay, let's do away with 110% to open a serious reflection on the future of building efficiency in Italy, in particular for less wealthy families. Are you for the united nation? So, listen to us.

An extension should be made for an orderly conclusion of the measure, which avoids the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs. Prime Minister Meloni should know that “the interruption of thousands of construction sites could result from the onset of a huge litigation between condominiums and businesses". With the anxiety of hurrying, do you risk safety on construction sites?

In short, without putting and taking away, with Ignazio La Russa defender of the amendments, the occasion is the Budget law. Let's do one deregulation for interventions that demonstrate concrete progress on construction sites and stop. Advice from friends? Better a little law today than fewer votes tomorrow.
