Superbonus 110%, Intesa Sanpaolo-Enel X agreement for businesses

Il Super bonus 110%, which in the meantime has ended up in the sights of the EU (which in the chapter included in the Recovery Plan has asked for additional information on the expected energy savings), continues to represent an opportunity for the relaunch of the economy and for the ecological transition. And also to provide opportunities for collaboration and synergy between large companies, in support of businesses: the latest example is that of the agreement between Intesa Sanpaolo and Enel X, the global business line of the Enel group which develops solutions based on the principles of sustainability and circular economy.

The agreement concerns the possibility offered to companies specializing in energy requalification and in the seismic safety of buildings to make the best use of tax incentives, such as the aforementioned Superbonus 110%. Specifically, this project is dedicated to the contractors of the ViviMeglio network (the Enel X business line dedicated to energy redevelopment, safety and modernization of Italian real estate assets) which have opted for the "invoice discount" mechanism and the value of which depends on the tax deduction foreseen for the type of redevelopment intervention.

to these realities Intesa Sanpaolo offers assistance in the process relating to the transfer of the tax credit, which also provides for a possible bridging loan functional to the start of the works. The Intesa Sanpaolo loan may be made available in advance of the signing of the contracts and will be based on revolving credit lines. The maximum credit amount is 50% of the contract value.

“The incentives – explained Mauro Micillo, head of the IMI Corporate & Investment Banking division of Intesa Sanpaolo – can change our cities for the better and, at the same time, contribute to the revitalization of the country's economy, allowing smart investments on a large scale”. Augusto Raggi, head of Enel X Italia, then added that making the country's entire real estate assets more efficient "is one of the pillars of our business strategy focused on the development of intelligent and innovative solutions, necessary for the achievement of national sustainability targets imposed by the European Union”.

As far as the Enel group is concerned, news has also arrived of Moody's judgment on the next hybrid bond to be issued by the group led by Francesco Starace: the rating agency has assigned a long-term score of 'Baa3', adding that the rating is stable. “The Baa3 rating assigned to the hybrid bond – stated Moody's – is two levels lower than Enel's senior unsecured rating (equal to Baa1) and reflects the characteristics of the security. It is very long-lived, highly subordinated and Enel can opt for the deferral of coupons on a cumulative basis. The rating is in line with those of existing hybrid notes issued by the company.
