Last year, the man who earned the most was Amancio Ortega, patron (among other things) of the Zara brand – In just 12 months, his availability has almost doubled, reaching a peak of 57,5 billion (+22 billion).

There are people who don't care about taxes, the crisis, spreads. The Scrooges of the planet never lack money: indeed, in the last year their wealth has even increased. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the aggregate capital of the world's wealthiest individuals rose by $241 billion to a staggering $1.900 trillion. Of the one hundred estates surveyed, only sixteen suffered losses compared to 2011. 

In this special enrichment ranking, the gold medal goes to Amancio Ortega, patron (among other things) of the Zara brand. In just 12 months, its availability has almost doubled, reaching a peak of 57,5 billion (+22 billion). 

In terms of total assets, Ortega is third. On the first step of the podium is Carlos Slim, the telecommunications magnate who controls the Mexican America Movil, has maintained the title of richest man on Earth: his net worth increased by 21,6%: 13,4 billion in more than the previous year. In second place is instead Bill Gates: the co-founder of Microsoft has added 7 billion to his assets. 

In fourth and fifth place are respectively Warrent Buffett, guru of American finance, with assets below 50 billion but up by 5,1 billion in 2012, and the owner of Ikea, Ingvar Kamprad, with 42,9 billion (+ 16,6% in 2012).
