Super green pass ok: all bans for the unvaccinated

Pass the hard line, but it will only be valid for Christmas holidays. The Council of Ministers unanimously decided to accept the proposals of the control room to contain the fourth wave of Covid-19 which in other EU countries is causing a surge in infections and deaths. Here, although the increase in positives is visible, the situation still appears to be under control and the Executive intends to ensure that it remains so. The purpose of the new measures is in fact to prevent Italy from joining the increasingly long list of countries in emergency, avoiding the launch of draconian measures such as those already applied by Austria, which introduced a lockdown for all and compulsory vaccination from February, or arriving in Germany, where in all likelihood the new government will launch a new squeeze, and in Holland, which is considering closing schools.

In Italy, therefore, arrives the squeeze on No Vax which has been talked about for days, which will be applied through what many newspapers call a "super green pass". Important news also arrives on local public transport, for which no certification was required up to now. Restrictions will kick in to go from December 6 and they will last for the holiday season (until January 15) even in the white area. In the following period, however, new decisions will be made on the basis of the data that will arrive on infections and above all on hospitalizations.

ALL THE PROHIBITIONS FOR NO VAX

The new restrictions will apply to unvaccinated citizens and will therefore affect around 8 million people. From December 6 to January 15, no vaxes will not be able to access all recreational activities, including those located in the white area. They will therefore remain out of restaurants, bars, cinemas, stadiums, theatres, museums, gyms, sports facilities, shows, parties, discos and public ceremonies. Super Green pass also necessary in hotels, where until now the green certificate was not required.

The bans will also be valid in the white area despite the strong opposition of the League which had even speculated about not having its ministers present at the council this afternoon.

SUPER GREEN PASS

Recreational activities will remain accessible only to citizens vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19. In fact, these will be the two categories of citizens who will be entitled to the so-called "super green pass". The new rules will not be valid for the under 12s, despite the fact that the green light for vaccination for children between the ages of 5 and 11 should arrive as early as Monday. News also on the duration of the green pass, which will be reduced from 12 to 9 months.

TAMPONS AT WORK

From December 6, the swab (molecular or unhygienic) will only be valid for going to work and for long-distance travel.

GREEN PASS (NOT SUPER) FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The new decree also introduces the green pass obligation (the "normal" one, which can also be obtained with a swab) for i public transport. Green certification will therefore be required for buses, subways, trams and regional trains.

CLOSURES

The color system remains valid, but with some changes. The activities for which closure in the yellow or orange zone is scheduled for today will be able to remain open, but with limited access and reserved for super green pass holders (vaccinated and recovered). The closure of activities and the restrictions for everyone (vaccinated and not) will instead start in the red zone.

VACCINATION OBLIGATION

With the new decree, the vaccine will also become mandatory for administrators of the national health service, teachers and school staff, police and military forces. For healthcare personnel and for those who work in nursing homes, the obligation is confirmed and extended to the third dose. The new rules, in this case, will come into force from December 15th. The task of strengthening controls will fall to the prefects and the provincial committees for public order and safety.
