The bad weather continues in the South. And the Civil Protection has issued a new weather alert which forecasts storms and floods in Sardinia, Calabria, Basilicata and Puglia, also extending to Marche and Abruzzo.

In the areas most affected by bad weather, in the Messina area and in Catanzaro, schools have been closed for today, while the municipality of Lamezia Terme has invited citizens to avoid leaving their homes, except for strictly necessary reasons.

Meanwhile, digging continues in Scarcelli, a fraction of Saponara, in the Messina area, the town that yesterday evening was overwhelmed by a landslide. Four dead: a ten-year-old boy, already found in the evening. Then a 50-year-old father and 20-year-old son were found by rescuers around midnight.
