On First&Food chef La Mantia and the most reviewed dishes on the Internet

Weekend with a Mediterranean flavor on First&Food, the vertical site of FIRSTonline entirely dedicated to the world of food and wine: this week's chef is in fact the Sicilian Philip LaMantia, born in Palermo in 1960. His is a curious career, which begins as a photojournalist of black news. In 1982 the mafia killed, in a bloody attack in Via Isidoro Carini, the prefect of Palermo Carlo Alberto Dalla Chiesa, his wife Emanuela Setti Carraro and the escort agent Domenico Russo. Filippo La Mantia is 21 years old, he rushes to the place and shoots a photo shoot that expresses all the drama of the event and the shoot ends up on the front pages of many newspapers. Today he is one of the most successful chefs and the recipe proposed by First & Food is wholemeal kamut couscous with pachino pesto, basil and aubergines.

The menu of the site dedicated to Food does not stop here. A research by Travel Appeal, a Big Data and Artificial Intelligence company which sifting through over 17 million online reviews, on restaurants, accommodation facilities and experiences, surveyed the perception of food and wine in Italy. In 2018, both reviews and satisfaction increased: the highest scores for the cooking classes, the most cited dish was Lucanian cruschi peppers, the favorite region was Umbria.
