On FIRST Arte the memory of Zeffirelli and the summer of MAXXI

The menu of FIRST Art, vertical site of FIRSTonline dedicated to the world of culture, cannot fail to start this weekend of the death, at the age of 96, of the great Florentine director and screenwriter Franco Zeffirelli. An article recalls the artist, who was also a senator in the ranks of Forza Italia and who came close to being awarded the Oscar for directing the film Romeo and Juliet in the 60s. Like every weekend, the Sunday story: this time it is the bloody story of a satanic sect, written by Alex B. Di Giacomo and which is precisely entitled "The sect".

The offer does not end here: there is the summer program of MAXXI in Rome, with the opening concert of Mahmood, Monday 17 June, there is the exhibition of the American contemporary artist David LaChapelle, and then two articles that reproduce the opening words of the best-selling bestsellers in the history of literature. In first place is Cervantes' Don Quixote, with an estimated 500 million copies, but the ranking also includes two classics of Italian-language literature: Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi and In the Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco. Guess how many copies have been sold?
