The next Thursday April 11, the transport public in Italy could create inconvenience for commuters and travelers due to the national general strike proclaimed by the CGIL and UIL unions. The 4-hour agitation will involve various private and public sectors, with consequences that will vary from city to city. But the greatest disruptions are expected for the transport sector.

Strike on Thursday 11 April, who is stopping and why?

The general strike, with the slogan "Now Enough", was called to support common demands: zero deaths at work, a fair tax reform and a new social business model. This mobilization was proclaimed by the unions CGIL e Uil and includes local events and initiatives to raise public awareness of these important issues.

Trains at risk: possible delays and cancellations for Trenitalia, Italo and Trenord

The railway sector will be involved in the agitation from 9am to 13pm. The staff of Italian State Railways need Italo will participate in the strike, which may cause delays e cancellations on trains. TO Napoli inconvenience for users of EAV vehicles, always from 9 am to 13 pm.

However, Anas declared that for the entire duration of the strike it will guarantee the "essential services relating to mechanical rescue and road safety services".
