Startup: Enel among the investors of Invitalia Ventures

The group joins the Investor Network of the public venture capital fund - The company led by Francesco Starace will collaborate in the selection of innovative companies in the renewable energy, electric mobility, smart grid, energy efficiency and home automation sectors

Enel is a member of the Invitalia Ventures investor network, which manages the Italia Venture I Fund to co-invest in the best startups and innovative SMEs. Invitalia Ventures - explains a note from the group - created the investor network in order to generate a transversal deal flow by sector and geographical area and to build the Italian Venture Industry platform. The network of co-investors now has over 100 members, 40% of which are international, managing more than $15 billion in assets globally.

Thanks to this agreement, Enel and Invitalia Ventures will collaborate to select the best Italian startups in the field of renewable energies, electric mobility, smart grids, energy efficiency and home automation, which will be able to benefit from the support of the two companies.

Enel, in line with its innovation strategy, will play the role of industrial partner by making the resources of its ecosystem available, while Invitalia Ventures will offer financial support. The two companies have decided to create an open innovation platform in which – adds the note – the best ventures have everything they need to scale quickly and become large companies capable of generating value.
