Stadio Bologna, Fincantieri signs the new Dall'Ara

The new look of the stadium of Bologna soccer will bear the signature of Fincantieri. The Bologna Stadio company, which manages the Renato Dall'Ara stadium, has in fact signed a partnership agreement with Fincantieri Infrastructure, a subsidiary of the Fincantieri group, for the design and implementation of the redevelopment and modernization works. Obviously, the Bologna FC 1909 football club and the Municipality of Bologna also participate in the project.

“At a time when football – explains a joint note -, like other sectors of the country, it needs investments and strategies to restart, this collaboration represents an important initiative to deliver to the club and the city a modern infrastructure that is functional to the current needs of the public and commercial partners". At the moment, the interested parties have not communicated the investment figures or the implementation times.

What is certain is that the historic plant will not be demolished, but will harmonize with the new structure, defined by Fincantieri as "very innovative and which "represents an example of collaboration between the public and private sectors which could become a model to be re-proposed in the future" . The construction will be divided into several phases: in Valeggio sul Mincio, headquarters of FC Infrastructure, the carpentry activities will be carried out while the involvement of local companies is also envisaged for what concerns plant engineering and construction.

Fincantieri Infrastructure is a company operationally born in 2017 from the takeover of Cordioli and specializes in large-scale projects such as bridges, stadiums, ports as well as industrial, commercial and institutional projects. Also involved in the construction of the new Morandi bridge in Genoa (it manufactured the entire steel deck of the viaduct, which measures a total of 1.067 meters, divided into 19 spans, for 17.400 tons of steel), the subsidiary in its first two years of life has already generated revenues of 110 million euros, with a growth of almost 110%, and an increase in employment from 12 to the current 113 work units.
