Another small step towards the new normal. The Scientific Technical Committee has given the green light to increase the maximum capacity in the sports and entertainment sectors. And therefore stadiums and sports arenas, but also cinemas and theatres. The indications of the Cts are not binding, it will be up to the Government to decide whether to accept them or not, but there is little doubt that the Executive will choose to adapt to the opinion of the scientists (the appropriate decree is expected this week).
THE NEW CAPACITY OF SPORTS FACILITIES
The indications of the Cts on stadiums and sports halls they foresee an increase in the maximum capacity of up to 75% in outdoor structures and up to 50% in those indoors. The new rules will apply to structures located in the white area. Access will only be allowed to green pass holders and therefore to citizens who have been vaccinated, recovered from Covid or who have swabbed and tested negative.
The Scientific Technical Committee also makes a recommendation: the capacity in the plants must be respected by using all sectors in order to avoid gatherings in some areas of the plants. All those present must wear masks and respect the rules of distancing. The organization will have the task of supervising.
THE NEW RULES FOR CULTURE
Important news also arrives on cultural events. According to the Cts, in fact, thanks to the improvement of the epidemiological situation and the positive evolution of the vaccination campaign, it will be possible to increase the capacity limits envisaged for cinemas, theaters and concert halls. In the white area, provided that all spectators are in possession of a green pass, the capacity can rise to 100% outdoors and 80% indoors. Also for culture, compliance with the indications on masks and spacing is recommended, attention to the quality of the ventilation systems and supervision of compliance with the rules.
Separate paragraph for i museums, for which there will be no limitation except for the entry / exit flows which must be organized in order to guarantee social distancing.
Bad news for discotheques which at least for the moment will continue to remain closed.
